Welcome to Indiana University's Quarry Cluster

The first Tuesday of the month are reserved for maintenance
activities on most Research Technologies systems
WildWest nodes: login nodes b001-b004 have a 20-minute time limit
on interactive use. Users who need to run interactive jobs longer
than 20 minutes but less then 24 hours should login to nodes b005-
b008 after logging into the quarry cluster and run long jobs there.
Jobs requiring more then 24 hours must be submitted to the batch
queueing system.

Sunday morning: power outage; most of Quarry was uneffected; only
critical cyberinfrastructure like management nodes, network switches
GPFS, Data Capacitor, etc. Jobs utiliizing these resources wll be
lost. Jobs only utilizing home directories, local scratch, etc.
should be fine. Email hps-admin@iu.edu for particular questions
you may have. The latest status will be posted to the IT Help
Outages page at http://itnotices.iu.edu/ re: GPFS outage.
